Floral waters are also known as hydrosols or distillates and are the water left behind from steam-distilling the essential oil. They contain many (sometimes more) of the properties of the essential oil but in a water form. Commonly used to soothe the skin as a hydrating mist, facial toner or ingredient in facial, body or bath care products.
