Calm with calendula. Known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-septic, antioxidant and regenerating properties, calendula calms and heals cuts, scrapes, burns or skin irritation. Our pure calendula oil is blended with organic jojoba oil, and is safe to use on sensitive skin, including kids and babies.

How to Use

Facial Care: After cleansing your skin with an all-natural cleanser, apply a small amount into your palm to warm. Apply in a circular motion to your face and neck. Apply sparingly around eye area. In the winter months, or in dryer climates, you may need a little more but remember to use sparingly. This oil is gentle and safe to use around your eyes. Use as a day or night moisturizer. Body Moisturizer: Apply to dry or slightly damp skin as needed. Bath Oil: Add 1 tsp oil to bath water and enjoy! Be careful when getting out of the bath as it can make the bathtub slippery. Carrier Oil: Carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils and €œcarry€ them to your skin because pure essential oils are potent and can cause irritation when applied directly to your skin. The amount of essential oil you use depends on the type of essential oil you are using and the purpose of application. DIY Skin care recipes: Try using in soaps, body scrubs, salves, lip balms, lotions, creams and more Massage Oil: Use as a body massage oil - apply as needed. Example Aromatherapy Massage Recipe: For aromatherapy massage add 6 drops of lavender essential oil to 30ml of carrier oil. Storage tips :Refrigerate or keep in cool/dark area to lengthen its shelf life. It can be combined with vitamin E oil to help extend the shelf life.

Calendula Oil for Daily Use

I have been using this oil for a number of years now as a part of my skin care regimen. I don't find it too heavy and my combination/dry skin laps it up.

I would like to note that this most recent purchase the oil colour is quite dark. Maybe it's because it's now made with jojoba oil or it's a higher concentration, but it's close to that old iodine treatment orange used before surgery. I just mix it with another carrier oil and it's fine (actually gives me a little tan).

Stains everything

So. I love Nezza and the quality of the products is always flawless, in my experience. HOWEVER, among my first Nezza purchases was calendula oil and it was my first time purchasing this type of oil. As I was buying it, the friendly rep said that the batch was “a bit dark”. I didn’t think much of it, clearly suffering from temporary amnesia as to why I’d switched to only buying clear oils. OH. MY. If you wanted to convince someone that you were radioactively jaundiced, this is the only for you. It turned me NUCLEAR ORANGE. I had to stand on a dark coloured towel to apply it - liberally, so as to use it up as quickly as possible. It stained everything even after it “absorbed”, as I was also told would happen quickly and therefore not be an issue. NOT. SO. Again: top quality. But this oil should really come with an explicit warning or at very least note about its colour and staining ability. Love you forever, Nezza, but please warn people about this oil.
