Activated charcoal is charcoal that has been infused with oxygen to increase its ability to absorb matter and toxins. Possibly the most absorbent cosmetic ingredient available as it is said to be able to absorb thousands of times its own weight.

Ideal for all skin types including oily/acne prone. Helps to draw out impurities, heal blemishes and prevent further breakouts. An anti-aging ingredient as it helps to tighten pores, smooth skin and reduce inflammation. Add to facial mask, cleansers, soaps & more!

Facial Mask Recipe: Add approx. 1 part clay, 1 part activated charcoal and 2 parts water and mix until a smooth paste. Apply a thin layer to face and leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse with warm water.

You can use this charcoal powder for many cosmetic purposes including facial masks, bath soaks, bar soaps, bath bomb recipes and more! The most common use is for homemade facial masks (see below for recipe).

Facial Mask Recipe: Add approx. 1 part charcoal powder to 2 parts water and mix until a smooth paste. Apply a thin layer to face and leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse with warm water.

Make a personalized facial mask by adding a small amount of carrier oil, essential oil or honey.
