At Nezza Naturals, we believe nature provides us with all we need for our wellness. That includes our skincare and beauty routines! Many consumers still use products created with harsh chemicals, and we’re doing our best to promote using the best, safest, and most effective products made from nature on your largest organ: Your skin! Read on to learn how to green your skincare routine and save your skin and the environment at the same time!
Do It Yourself
There is something so rewarding about putting a bit of effort in and creating something that is safe for you and the world around you. We take pride in creating all of our Nezza products by hand using only natural ingredients. So we decided to share some different recipes for you to try your hand at some DIY skincare products that will make you feel good on the inside as well as on the outside!
Skincare Product Recipes
We did a bit of searching and compiled a list from other natural and eco-friendly sources to give you a few places to begin with your DIY skincare products!
Coconut Oil + Coffee Body Scrub
With a recipe this easy, how can you not want to give it a shot? This simple and natural recipe from The How-to Home only requires two ingredients-coconut oil and (you guessed it) coffee grounds. This mixture is best made in a glass jar, not only for easy-access but to be reused once your supply is out!
If the winter weather is wreaking havoc on your skin, you’ll love this DIY moisturizer! Perfect for dry skin, it only requires three ingredients and a little goes a long way! The recipe from Green Thickies is simple and boasts a 5-minute completion time! Aside from olive or almond oil, coconut oil, and beeswax pellets, essential oils can be added to this mixture in order to provide a pleasant scent.
DIY Oil Cleanser
This simple recipe is a great alternative to harsh facial cleansers. Made up entirely of oils, this recipe from Wellness Mama provides mixing options for different types of skin, as well as “introductory” amounts to get you started. Mix up your oils before hand, and apply a quarter-sized amount to your face when washing or in the shower.
Especially during the colder months, your skin needs hydration on the outside as well as from within with your water intake. This All-Natural Body Butter recipe from The How-to Home is a perfect (and natural) way to give your skin some TLC. Once you’ve completed the recipe, store at room-temperature in a wide-mouthed glass jar and use as needed!
If you want to dive into natural DIY make-up recipes, this recipe from Wellness Mama gives you two different options: The simpler way or the full DIY method. This recipe will be a bit of trial and error as you want to get as close to your natural skin tone as possible. However, once you nail your recipe you will be so excited with the money you save as well as how little waste your make-up is creating!
